FAQ's
QCan I ask a caregiver to do household chores?
A:   Absolutely.  During the interview process, be sure to outline your expectations clearly.  Emphasize the importance of flexibility since circumstances and conditions are bound to change.

Q:  Are we required to give the caregiver vacation pay?
A:   No.  This is a private arrangement between yourself and the worker, and there are no mandatory prerequisites.  You set the duties, compensation, and the benefits of the job.  It is best to set these terms during the interview process.

Q:  Does Loving Care provide for temporary care?
A:  Yes.  Many of our clients need a caregiver for a short duration of time for recuperation purposes.  Others need replacement service for their current caregiver who needs time off.  At Loving Care we strive to meet your Chicago Senior Care, Chicago Child Care, and Geriatric Consulting needs.

Q:  My child is autistic.  Can Loving Care provide us with help?
A:  We have families such as yours in need of supportive help in the house. Lay people can be trained to reinforce many of the activities performed in the daily therapeutic sessions. They can also keep the child busy with normal daily activities such as taking a walk, mealtime, etc. They can help with housekeeping as well.  They can provide the necessary respite for a household which is under constant strain. We are very aware and sensitive to your needs, and we know that we can find you the right caregiver!

Q: How does your housekeeping services work?
A:  You hire one housekeeper who has a set weekly (or otherwise) schedule to clean your house. You only pay for the hours that housekeeper actually cleans.

Q:  Can Loving Care provide care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease?
A:   Yes.  Loving Care has a special training section designed to help caregivers respond to the special needs and behaviors of an Alzheimer’s patient.  Our personal insights and experience adds greatly to the care program.

Q:  How much advance notice do you need to find a caregiver for us?
A:   Loving Care can usually provide a qualified caregiver the same day of your call. We always recommend you call us as soon as you know that you need help.
